Tormented Shield Disapeared! - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all,

I am a noob. Only been playing GW for 2 months. I own Prophicies . I have managed to obtain some very nice items via trading. One such item is my Tormented Strength Shield. I have been using it since I was level 12 and I am now level 20.

Today I installed "Eye of the North". I started the quest from Lion'sGate and began venturing until I reached the "Hall of Monuments". Now I was using a Zodiac axe and shield not my Tormented shield. As I began to check out my Hall and experiment with how to add weapons and pets, I noticed my Tormented shield was no longer in my inventory! Ugggg! I paid alot for it. I searched all my characters, storage chests, bags, everywhere. Its just disapeared. It is the only item I am missing! I understand that the hall will only display Destroyer and Tormented items.

Someone please help! I already emailed Support but havent received a response yet.

Some possibilities:

*You sold it to the merchant without realising.
*You got hacked and someone stole it (unlikely as they would have cleaned everything out).
*You put it in an equipment pack which does not show up when pressing F9.
*You've got a 2 handed weapon equipped as well as the shield (shield will be in the off-hand slot in the inventory but won't appear).
*You overlooked it somewhere.
*You put it on a hero for some reason.
*You traded it to a friend/guildie (you'd probably remember if you did this though).
*A family member/friend who has your account details logged on and did something with it.

Stuff doesn't just randomly disappear. If you can't find it something must have happened to it.

PS: Don't expect a response from support for a while, especially because it's almost the weekend.

It didnt just randomly disapear! It happened right after I installed EotN. I have an extensive collection of Destroyer weapons, el tonics, and rare pets and none are missing. Only my Tormented shield. I will go over everthing a forth time but I doubt i will find it.

Marty, your the BOMB! It was on one of my Heroes! Today was the first time I have ever used a hero and apparently I equiped him with it.

Thanks so much for helping Noob level 20 out! Man, I was worried but you saved the day.

Usually on heroes.

Backtrack. What shield were you using when you entered HoM? Where did you got it? When? What did you do that day? With what heroes?

See if this works.

Glad you found your pricey shield but..

You made 3 threads about precisely the same thing.
This won't make you friends.

PS. Marty, you can't sell Tormented weapons to merchant
